Shuttle Conveyor
While circular chain conveyors and complex Power & Free systems are predominantly found in high-throughput serial production, where many similar components are transported along almost identical routes, the Kewesta shuttle system can be used to create far more individual solutions that allow a completely flexible workflow.
Components with different dimensions and weights often have to be transported at varying cycle times.
This is where the Kewesta shuttle solution comes into play, it can transport anything across longer crossbeams, from small parts to larger workpieces. The spectrum ranges from light sheet metal or aluminum parts to heavy steel structures.
Across one or more crane bridges and rotating switches, the crossbeams can be distributed along side rails without having to follow a fixed sequence. This is done in a space-saving way with right-angled deflections, which allow for even bulky components to be transported in a very compact system.
Conversely, you can also flexibly access the storage unit on the side - depending on which component is needed next.
Depending on the component weight and the desired throughput, the transport can be programmed manually or automatically. Driving forwards and backwards is also possible.
Kewesta relies on its sophisticated Power & Free modular system and can therefore integrate Power & Free sections, buffers or lifting and lowering stations into its systems at any time (see our Power & Free video).
Of course, as with all other Kewesta systems, the topic of energy efficiency remains our priority - to be able to save our customers money and resources.
